The regular isko's UAAP frustration
I watched the UAAP game this afternoon. UP played against La Salle. We lost. It was kind of disheartening. Actually, it was disheartening. It was my first time to ever watch a game live and we had so much difficulty finding Philsports Arena since I rarely go anywhere near there and to add to that, it was raining. I was determined to go to support our team since some of them were my friends. And I just thought it was high time that I watched a collegiate basketball game while I was still in college, with my team playing. The next time I'd be able to watch a UAAP game, I'd no longer be an actual student of the university already..
We got there just when the third quarter ended. Our players actually put up a good fight but in the last few minutes they were disorientated which really affected their performance. So that's how they lost. I bet they’re really crushed. Just when signs of us being able to make it to the final four appear, we were put out immediately. But well, it was a good game. We were beat fairly and squarely I guess. Considering the substandard facilities we have in school and the measly deals offered to our players, we were even lucky to get anywhere near the final four. I wonder what could happen if the school gave free lodging at condo units, cars, allowance and all that bling-bling to promising high school basketball players too...
